A large group of Needwoodian Elders attended a dinner party at
the Wheelwrights Restaurant in the Bass Museum on the evening of March 8th 2003.
The party was organised by ex-scholars Joan Ainscow (Randle) and Bill Boswell
who spent over two years planning the event which was greatly appreciated
by everyone. Joan and Bill wishes to thank personally all the staff at the Bass
Museum, especially Geraldine Beard, the Hospitality Manager who work hard to
make it a truly memorable evening. Geraldine also arranged to have the Museum
remain open after closing time for the party guest to freely wander around the
exhibits before sitting down to their meal.
The
Coors
Visitor Centre (formerly the Bass Museum)
was chosen because of it's historical links to Rangemore Hall and a fantastic restaurant.
Previous owners of Rangemore Hall, Michael Thomas Bass then his son Michael
Arthur Bass (Lord Burton) were also owners of the Bass Brewery in Burton Upon Trent. If you haven't been, the
Coors
Visitor Centre
is well a visit. (Click
